Name that sound...
 

This isn't my video, but I've been beginning to notice a noise close to this on my 954. It's not nearly as loud or noticeable as his though. Any ideas? I was told it was just the clutch basket rattling and that it was somewhat normal on these bikes.

For him, it ended up being an FPR (as strange as that sounds).... He had a misfire and a bunch of other stuff. I have no idea why - but the FPR fixed everything

Can you put up a video of your bike making the noise?

And I'm in no way saying that FPR is your problem... Demon is right - videos online sound different than your bike in person - so putting up a video and going through your own process to figure out what's wrong is the key.



I had a sound like that on my 600rr - and it was a plate on the shift spline that was bent. There was excessive play in the spline, if it was pushed in - it made the noise. If it's pulled out, it sounds normal.


So there's no telling what your problem is
