Default Lubing the clutch cable?

So I was out riding with some dudes tonight and this one guy was telling me about his buddy barrel rolling his bike when his clutch snapped while doing a wheelie. I've never lubed my clutch cable. What should I use and how should I go about doing this? Is there a special type of lubricat specifically designed to lube the clutch cable?

replaced mine at 15k broke in Rhode Island, and had to ride home to CT. about 150 miles in heavy beach traffic. couldnt stop or i was f**ked. the girl on back wasnt happy, but i told her i would slow down if she wanted to hop off.

thats what the break down lanes are for...right???
