Default Knee Pads?

Well, the old Diablo Runner is finally getting a little faster, and I can't help but notice how close the ground is getting to the side of the bike in turns. Therefore, I think it's time to invest in a good set of knee pads. I was wondering what brands/types you guys are strapping on.

Thanks, Runner.

Alpinestars has some pretty decent ones for like $25 motorcycle-superstore or knee draggers has them ...cover knee and shin...I had to modify mine a bit cause i have rather thin legs but they are nice to have around hopefully I dont ever have to really see if they work.

Thanks, K7, but I am looking for something a little heavier. I plan on actually trying to stick it out there and drag. So, I am debating b/w icon field armor knee/shin guards and alpinestars bionic knee guard. I think the icon set up will be a little more comfortable, especially when I am stunting, but I think it is clear that the astars offer a great deal more protection. Has anyone had any experience with either of these?

Here are links for the two I am looking at. Thanks for any advice.
