Also what's the deal with the RC51 wheel? what's the difference/appeal? What's sp1 & sp2? Sorry for all the questions & don't mean to threadjack to the OP.

The gauge is from a 2014 600RR and pretty much yes. They swap the LED's over to whatever color you want and then they remove the clear film from your LCD and apply a polarized film to the LCD for the "Blackout" look.

The SP1 and SP2 wheels are the different models of the RC51. The SP1 model was manufactured from 2000 - 2001 and the SP2 model from 2002 - 2006. The SP1 wheels are 6 spoke wheels and the SP2 wheels are 5 spoke wheels and a bit lighter than the SP1's. I personally like the look of the SP1 wheels better. They are pretty much a direct fit on the 954 with two 1 mm spacers on each side of the front wheel.

No I am not going to do the gear indicator. I am going for just the LED swap and blackout mod. But yes you can add that in.

kool thanks.. after I posted that I googled images of the RC51 and saw the different wheels. I agree the 6 spoke is sweet. reminds me of my 95 vfr750 it had 6 in the front , but 5 in the rear with the single sided rear arm. I always liked that feature on that bike

So is there any additional device/equipment needed to get gear indication because our stock bikes don't currently have that?
