info about swap swingarm

hi guys,i want ask you a techinical question because im pretty sure that you know more better than me,when you want swap the swingarm whitch are the things to look? for example i saw many cbr 900rr with the aprilia rsv swingarm that looks very nice,if i would to the same but on the 954 what i should consider?

The fact that its a stressed member bike rules out 99% of the motorcycles in existence (including your RSV arm idea), unless you have access to someone who knows how to brace and modify aluminum beyond recognition (and it'd be cheaper/safer/better to completely fabricate your own at that point).

A 929 will go on, a VFR 800 will work (which you can use to also run Triumph and Ducati hubs/rims).

After that, there aren't any other options that come to mind. Some of the Duc arms mount in a similar fashion, but I don't think they work because of the spacing on the back of their engines.

it was just an idea, but i was thinking to something different than the 929 or vfr, one guy he wanted swap the rsv swingarm on his 929 but he couldnt.. anyway thanks for the answer =)

I've looked for a long time as I've lusted after an under braced swinger for the '54.

But take a look

Compare the open middle part where it mounts on the pivot shaft to any swingarm you're looking at.

You'd have to cut the middle part out and then brace the swingarm so that it kept some rigidity after cutting it apart.

what you mean for "then brace the swingarm so that it kept some rigidity after cutting it apart." to add more welds to make it more strong?
i found this: CBR 929 with the CBR 1000RR swingarm,
