u can cut the stock muffler down, it sounds kinda loud if you take like half of it away.

dont forget bro .... if you change the factory exhast, you will prop. have to re-jet the carbs for proper tuning. if your not willing to go the nine yards ... i wouldnt mess with it. remember.. honda knew what they were doing.

954's do not have carbs.

Just plan on a power commander/tune to clean up the sloppy perfomance a loud muffler will give.

You could slash cut the mid pipe & insert a baffle of some kind.
Ghetto? yes
Cheap? yes
Loud? ohh yes

You don't need a power commander for a slip-on. All a slip on exhaust does is make the bike sound loud or deep. Your EGR is still controlling how much the bike is exhaling and therefore there is no point in wasting your money on a power commander.

So, I agree with Letsride. Find a decent priced slip-on via Ebay. That's where I have purchased all my bike mods.

Carbs??? That would be a NEGATIVE... FUEL INJECTION!

Anywho, you can always do the pair mod, flapper in the air box, and open your HTEV up... It will make it sound mean as hell... Only thing is you will bog in the lower gear with the lower RPM's.

I agree with the few other posts, if you are going to do it then do it right. Look on Ebay, Craigslist and even the Marketplace on the forums. If interested, I have a Two-Brothers Carbon fiber bolt-on and Erion Racing Bolt-on that I am looking to get rid of... PM for more info.

Want loud? Ive heard D&D makes a nice abnoxiously loud can, could probably find one used here in the classifieds or on another forum or check out craigslist or ebay....ORRRRR you could simply convince yourself that its totally ok to buy a brand new shiny can for a nice expensive price...look at it this way....its like buying a ring for a girl, exhaust for your bike....those are interchangeable scenarios right?

+1 on D&D being the loudest pipe you can install.

-1 on buying a new one. There are too many people getting rid of theirs to throw the flow away on a new one. I would suggest buying a used slip-on now and save up your money later for a nice full-exhaust w/ PCIII.

That's just me.
