Looking at buying one and the owners advert says it has ' both ' keys, is this all the bike came with ?

 

Thats what the origional owner gave me when I got mine, and he kept everything from the day he bought it.

 

i bought 2 blanks off ebay and had them made up for mine... which makes a total of 3


if you're really scared, buy a new lockset off of ebay when you buy it... it switches the keys.

 

I need to get another key made. I only got the one.

I was wondering about those and if they were decent or not.

 

Paid $3.95 for a blank on eBay and took it to the local ACE hardware where they cut it for free. Works like a charm.

 

ACE did really?! they told me no because they thought my key had a chip inside.. i understand most car keys do but reeeeeeally? im gonna go try again in another town lol

 

I am assuming the blanks don't come with the transducer and can only be used to unlock the boot and steering lock, not start the bike.

 

our keys don't have the chips...

ace did mine as well. it may be a little rough at first, but after the first few times, it worked like a charm - better than the original key.


they'll tell you that it may not work... and they won't give a refund, but they just say that for liability, it'll work just find


i think the repsol's keys (all ebay blanks) are actually better than the original keys that came with it
