How fast can the 954 go?
ORIGINAL: richhowerton
You know this question comes up all the time. for all bikes and all it does is gets people hurt. or starts a fight like few weeks ago. I am sure we all knowwhat I am talking about.
Butyou should ONLY be going for a high speed on the track, if you do it on the st. you will only take the chance of a cages killing you, or killing your self or another biker. Mine has been to178 on the track but it hasA LOT of motor work done to it. and that was with a pro ridder on it.

I was being ****, but I get tired of seeing people asking the same question about speed not 'where's a good track school near me' and 'where can I go to learn to ride better.' There have already been too many deaths and crashes this year and some of them have been attributed to speed. Sorry to be a *****.
Before doing any mods on my 954, i got it up to 181mph....I couldn't believe it so I turned around started at the same spot in the road and went for it again, I looked down at my speedo the second time and it read 183mph at 11,500rpm. Since then I've never really wanted to go that fast again.
I thought I responded to this already....oh well......181mph, I did it late one night and couldn't believe my speedo soI turned around started at the same spot and did it again this time hitting 183, I could have gone faster but I didn't even mean to go that fast, I think my tach read something like 11,000 but at that speed I'm not sure, I wasn't gonna look twice at that speed!!!
Joey, Did you change your name to vjhils?
Sixhundredrr, You are not going to find people on this forumlooking for track time or advise on how to be a proficient rider.Any riders, that I have come across, on this forum whoare skilled riderswon't sit around and jerk everyone off about it. There seems to be a bit of trolling going on around here so get used to these kind of questions.. sorry.
