As for the top speed, faster then you need to go on any open highway. Worry about building skills and avoiding the morons hell bent at taking you out with their Buick!!!!

Wow double r you kinda out of your league in here!!!!??? Learn the 954 like BobJoe said, top speed also varies on weather, elevation, modifications, and so forth..... but your gonna see results around the 170 mark like stated above but that has alot to do wit the riding conditions.

You know this question comes up all the time. for all bikes and all it does is gets people hurt. or starts a fight like few weeks ago. I am sure we all knowwhat I am talking about.
Butyou should ONLY be going for a high speed on the track, if you do it on the st. you will only take the chance of a cages killing you, or killing your self or another biker. Mine has been to178 on the track but it hasA LOT of motor work done to it. and that was with a pro ridder on it.
