Engine output shaft bearing temps
Hi all,
Just wondering to the people who race there 954's. The output shaft from the transmission that holds your small sproket...That bearing right behind the small sproket, does it see high temps after a Hard ride? It is connected to the engine so obvious higher temps will be present but it is across the motor from the cylinders, so I was curious. Mine is quite hot to the touch. Over thinking it or is this a sign? |
you also get heat from the chain on the sprocket metal to metal creates heat if their was a problem with the bearing you would prolly hear it rumble

Perfect! Thanks all. I figured as much, but the bike motors and onboard trannys and such is all still a bit new.
