Dum question

I don't even know if anyone can even answear this. Second ride on my 954 i just bought. And i here a noise up front im not sur if its a vibration or a rattle or maybe a rubbing. It almost to me sounds like the tire rubbing the fender but that isn't even possible. Its a one and a milloin shot but has anybody ever heard a similar noise on there bike and what was it.

RE: Dum question

I have a howling coming from the front of my bike...but I'm pretty positive it is just tire noise. Not really a groaning like a wheel bearing and it doesn't fluctuate with handle bar movement.

The brakes will drag the rotors just slightly, so maybe you are hearing that. The fender could rub or rattle if its loose or has any broken tabs (very common). Check all your faring bolts and make sure everything is snugged up, always a good ideaanyhow, never know what the guy before ya did, or may have played with.

I figured it out when the dealership was putting my fender back on they broke both taps on ride side of fender. I'm calling them next.

thats lovely of them. but you might get a rattling from the front cowling especially if the sponge damper around the headlight starts to go away. sucks that i don't really see a part number for that unless you get a whole new headlight assembly.

RE: Dum question

Called dealership in less then 5 minutes they had another fender ordered for me. They even offered to put it on for me. I declined and just put it on myself so i know it isn't overtightened. I guess i shouldn't talk crap anymore about my dealership. Or maybe they just treated me good because i know the owner. My brother in law sets up his sprint car for him maybe he figured treat me right and he might not have a bad night at the races.;)
