do hid lights work ok with stock harness?

Anyone running hid head lights on their 954 with the ballast plugged into the stock headlight bulb harness? I know on my 01 gsxr 600 I had back in the day the stock harness wouldn't support that much current and they wouldn't work properly. Just curious to see if anyone ran into any problems plugging up all 3 hid light bulbs and ballasts the normal way to stock light harness.

I am running projector hid high beams and halogen low beam. Yes everything goes to the stock harness. Its different than ive ever seen but its all stock. When I flip the high beams the halogen gets dimmer and the bulbs have to heat up before they are super bright. The 54 doesnt really have a good charging system. Make sure you get 35 w ballasts 55 will eventually start to fry your electrical. Yes 55 is brighter. But if your looking for bright go with 6k no higher. If you need reference. Take a look at projector halos in the 954 section. Also. Ive seen xenon hids . Imo they are the best 100% water proof and they dont take time to heat up

Thanks.. so do you think this kit will work fine on my bike? Im not trying to burn no wires or burn up the regulator or stator. My bike is like a brand new show room condition bike with not a single problem. So I don't want to run into any electrical problems over some head light bulbs. lol

Sorry I never got back to you. It should. Always look for reviews for each company and brand. Btw thats a pretty good deal. Make sure you go with 35 w not 55 and 6k is the most visible. Anything above that gives the blue color everyone like but its really not good for night which is why we use lights.

I bought those cheap 35w 6000K HID off ebay....changed all 3 bulbs. works like a charm! super bright.

and I figure if it burns out cheap enough to replace :)
