Default Clutch probs/?

03 954. Im getting some slippage 2-3 and a little of 4 under WOT. No matter wherethe engagement adjustment is at. The lever itself does not go all the way forward after i shift. Maybe less than a half inch of space. Seems when i push the lever foward under WOT itdoesnt seem to do it. Could the cable be stretched out enough to where its not pulling the clutch lever back and keeping it somewhat engaged?? Let me know what you think as i just got this and it is pissing me off. Gauge reads 3800 miles which is supposed to be original. I just dont think the clutch would be bad.

have you tried to adjust your cable at the clutch cover? if your cable is stretched is very inexpensive to replace. try adjusting the cable first to get some "slack" outta that lever

It also might be the oil. If you use the wrong oil, it can ruin the clutch. The wrong oil is oils that are labeled as having 'friction modifiers'. As long as you use motorcycle oil, it shouldn't be a problem...

Start with adjusting the clutch cable. Check your oil level and the type that you used last time you changed it next.
