I just put some in mine and man is it nice oil.

 

I'll let you know. BMW oil is just rebranded Castrol to my understanding. And the dealer just put this stuff in Yolie at her first service.

I Put that Castrol oil in my `91 f2, haven`t got the chance to ride it yet due to snow, but when I ran it in the yard I noticed that the strange whiny noise that the engine has always had, started to fade and after a while almost disappeared. In general I am in the understanding that Castrol products should be pretty high end. We don`t have Rotella oils here, so can`t say anything about those...

I'm sure I'll be scolded for this, but I put castrol edge 10w40 in this last oil change. That's right, car oil! It seems to run better than with rotella t6 5w40, but that could all be in my head.
