boiling point?

just started my new ish cbr 954.

left it running for a while as i haven't ridden it for ages.

looked at the temp gauge to see it was sitting on 98 dec.

sounds way to high for my liking and as there was no fan i switched off.

does anyone know when the fan kicks on to cool things down?

103-104 celsius the fan kicks in. The overheating light comes on near 120 celsius. Don't remember specific degrees. If you let it idle it will get to the point were fan kicks in even if it's minus degrees.

No you don't. The temps of your bike sound totally normal. Even modern cars temps are higher then the temp meter tells. That's why there is a different sensor for the ecu on cars.

The 954 does not like to stand still for too long.....The OEM skins are wrapped pretty tight around the powerplant. Your Temps sound spot on and you should'nt be alarmed.
