Thinking about one of these but I don't track my bike. Do anyone know of the race filter lets that much dirt through? I hardly ride my bike but when I do I take it through the paces.

This is the info I found on BMC's site that helped make me decision before ordering one of their filters.

then this is for you....

you wouldn't want to commute with it... or go ride in the desert with it... but otherwise, i'd go for it.

it's not like the "air" is cleaner at the track than it is on a back road in the mountains on the weekends.

rain is an issue though.

Ordered mine on the 15th and it just got here on the 21st. It is well packaged and contained the filter, warranty info, and two BMC stickers. No cleaning solution though. My filter was date stamped 10/10/03 so I'm not sure if the "pre oiled ready to install" part still holds true considering its been almost 9 yrs. But the filter is still sealed on the bag so we shall see. Here are some pics. I recommend anyone that wants one to grab it while you can at this price.

I got my filter delivered about an hour ago packed the same as yours. Its much better quality than a k-n and even has the threads and o-ring for the screw in the center of the airbox cover like the OEM filter.
