Default BMC filter (race or street?)

I have decided to buy a BMC air filter to join my new yosh full sys and pcIII. However, I was wondering if there is any reason not to buy the race filter. I read from the BMC online site that the race filter has a 25% greater airflow, but I didn't know ifthat causes greater stress on the engine for everyday commuters (which I am). Is the street filter a safer choice or will the race filter be okay?

Here is the site info page: http://www.bmcairfilters.com/faq.asp#faq53

Thanks!

I wouldn't worry about that. Yes it does increase your air flow, which allows you to make more power. Just the only thing you might want to make sure is that you choose a good mapping for your PC3. But it isn't going to put any kind of strain on your motor by using this. The only thing I see with them is the same with all types of air filters that use oil to do it's filtering, the oil does tend to dry up after a bit. So you may want to go in there and apply more oil from time to time to help keep it's ability to filter. But since you are essentially buying a K&N filter you just get the cleaning chemicals and maintain your filter.

Thanks Surf ... i will do that. I know the filter will have instructions telling me how often that should be done, but what is realistic ...every oil change?
