Well its time to put a new set of tires on the 54. I have pretty much decided on the michelin pilot powers but Im also considering the pirelli diablos. I have been looking on ebay and havent found a whole lot on there. I searched some older tire threads on here and saw that some people were getting great deals on a pair of tires for $230 or so. Anyone know where to pick up a set of pilot powers for this price? Also, I noticed there are two different types of pilot power tires, the original ones and the 2CT ones. What is the difference? Are the new 2CT worth the extra $? Also I heard that there was a recall not too long ago on some of the pilot powers.Anyone know what the deal was with these? Any help with this will be greatly appreciated.



Just to re-cap, my main question is: Where can I find the best price on these tires?

 

gotta say eBay is the easiest and cheapest (got 2 Pirlleli DC3s for $250 shipped) but you can get discounts on tires that have been discotinued at dealerships and bike shops around town

 

Thanks for the input vspohmore. I went aheadand ordered a set of tires on ebay.I went with thenew Pilot Power 2CT tiresfor $275 shipped. Ill let you all know how they work out. Thanks!
