Given the old girl the clean of her life today, all fairings off, hugger, chain guard, sprocket cover up on its ABBA stand and off i went.

Whilst rubbing at the top of the headers some of the silver paint flaked off around there..... do any of you guys touch up this area with some heat resistant paint..... or is this just '' going to far '' ????

 

ya... i'd say you're going a lil too far especially if you're keeping her clothes on.... i mean, the whole thing is aluminum - so you don't have to worry about rust or anything.




but there have been many 929/954 motors painted. they're usually painted black though. i'm planning on painting mine black - but then again, that's for a fighter.

 

Yep.... i think my OCD maybe taking over a tad too much !!! It is 10 years old as well so i know it can not look like new.... thanks.
