i just bought an 02 954rr, i was wondering what the differences where between the 954 and the 929, if there where many differences in speed or anything else like that?????????

 

year or two newer... more power.. .better looks... different plastics... different motor...different gauges... -- speed -- well more power would make more speed... a 954 is a updated 929

+1, I have a 929 and I think the powerband is more manage. I've road my friends 954 and that thing was wheel happy in the straights and out of corners. Both are great bikes.The biggest difference is just the motor and looks of the bike.

 

Congrats, dude! the 954 other than better performance, is a way better looking sportbike than the 929. enjoy!

 

thats a matter of opinion!! it all depends on what you like, i have a 929, and love it! now the original poster is my buddy, ive road his bike, i think it does feel like it has more power, seemed like smoother power, but other than plastic lines and the rear tail section they look the same... the rear tail section on a 929 can easily be changed... but i agree with above, both bad *** bikes
