954 Spitting Antifreeze

Hey guys,

So i have a question - Last night is the second time this is happen.

i think however i found a pattern. the first time this is happened i was going about 146MPH (maybe 3 months ago) and last night i hit 152MPH.

i'm not sure exactly where its comming from but when i stopped at the light before i parked last night my bike was smoking like a mofo from all the antifreeze burning up on the pipes i presume.

I commute to and from the city daily and never have a problem though i rarely go that fast.

It was running and reving fine - i want to go look later at it but is there anything in particular i should be looking for or anything that would cause it to do something like this.

Thanks!

How high do you fill the reserve bottle for the antifreeze? Some people think it should be filled to the top when cold but it needs room for the fluid to expand when it is hot. If it had been all the way full when cold then it is probably running out the overflow tube when you're running it at a high speed and the engine is hotter than normal.

I had a small leak through one of the hoses once. Another clamp on the hose did the trick. If you're sure its coming from the reservoir tank, then I'm sure it's the cap coming off and fluid overflowing/flying out.

You need to figure out for sure where it's coming from.

Last I checked it was halfway basically not at max and not empty. I was trying to see where it was leaking from last night but it was pitch black. I know it can't be from the bottle cause it would be a contestant drip right? I have only had this problem after doing excess speeds of 140+ could it be a gasket or something popping at that speed under pressure?

Take the plastics off and track down the leak first.
