Default 954 ?'s

Hey everyone, I'm purchasing a 2003 CBR954RR here in the next week or so. It has vortex rearsets, ohlins rear dampner, corbin seats, full micron exhaust, dunlop tires (not sure which model), scotts steering dampner and a race tail.

I'm looking to DD or weekend drive it but also want some track time. are there any other mods that will really improve the performance of this bike? I'm not too familiar with this model CBR. I've always been a 600RR guy, haha

sounds like its been down...

no PCIII? not good to have had a full exhaust without one...could have valve damage if he's ran that exhaust for a long time w/o a pciii

what are you doing for lights on the race tail?

+1

I bet there's a PCIII somewhere on it, I would be surprised the Previous Owner did all those mods without one.

See what tires it's got, but it sounds like it's ready to go to the track!

its a very clean looking bike, clean title and I've looked at it closely. no sign of damage from a fall/slide.

I'm sure it has a PCIII on it. The bike was traded in at one of the dealerships I work at and they can't tell me much about the bike.

Oh and for resale purposes the dealership put the factory tail on the bike with a custom undertail.. I didn't know it came with both but thats a plus.

I may head down that way this afternoon and snap some pics.

im pumped about getting a semi-track bike. I think if I do buy this bike I will really enjoy it, probably more so then my 600RR or my 1000RR. It almost feels lighter when I sit on it then both of them

I've also heard going from a 190 to a 180 tire on the back will make it handle a bit better, is this true?

If you get it as is and u want to add some things to it, the first i would recommend is wave rotors and steel braided brake on the front. I know they come wit massive 330mm fronts from the factory but i installed the wave and lines and its no comparison......post pics tho when u get a chance.....and last recommendation: do not chrome it out!

Mine is 190 and handles fine, it had a lot of track time before I put it back to street. You would really need to change rim size to properly change sizes. Not worth it IMHO.
