It's significantly easier if you can lower the radiator and get it out of the way

Raise the gas tank and remove the airbox. Prop rod for tank attached to bottom of seat. Now you have easy access to the spark plugs.

If you take your time & like stated ; prop up the tank & Pull the air box, which will have 2 electrical connectors you'll need to unplug ( but don't worry to disconnect the Hvix cable, & just let the box hang over the Right side of the frame) remove the rubber mat heat shield & you'll have to unplug the coil sticks (which are the coil & spark plug caps in one), then un- plug each spark plug , & hope fully you have the 954's tool kit as it's spark plug wrench does the job the best. & as this job is not loved by all i have bought 4 x iridium NGK CR9IEX spark plugs as they are the best for high performance all round , plus they will last 60000 KLM's but usually will last up to 90000-100000KLM's long which is great for me compared to the standard type's that last 12000KLM's. Also note it's best to put anti seize on the spark plug threads before locking them in so they are an easy remove next replacement.
