There is a guy on the forum, forgot his name that has over 200,000 on his F4i. I think his real name is Jared but cant think of his username. You can see it in the Sights N Sounds section. He did a rebuild. He crashed and f*cked his block and crankshaft up. He got another motor but put every part from his old engine in menus the crankshaft. He was on the same damn clutch assembly too. And that went in the new block also.

02 954...bought her 14 months ago with 11,000 miles...she is at 36,000 now...i do have -1 +2 gearing, but she still runs solid. I get a new rear tire every 3 months. I NEVER do burn-outs, just high milage riding.(I ride year-round) I will never part with my Honda. These things are bullit proof!

1785 miles per month is pretty crazy mileage. I manage 1000 miles per month, but I only ride on weekends and occasionally take days off during the week just to ride. My bike is almost at 18000 now. I've already put 1000 miles on it since I bought it three weeks ago. There's probably going to be another 750+ by the time Memorial Day weekend is over.

Murphy's law has struck me down! I should have knocked on wood when I started this post.
I rode my bike to work (as usual) yesterday. Everything was going great until my bike started giving me problems shifting into 2nd gear. Then it started going in and out of third gear. Yup, time to replace the tranny!
I found a low milage full motor (5,000)for $1,200. Instead of spending all the money to replace my high milage motor, I'm just going to replace the whole thing. Wish me luck!!!!! I only have a week and a half to get it done.

Sorry to hear that, I did a write up in the how to section on engine removal. Should take you a few hours at the most your first time. Putting it back in was quicker..... One thing I did was remove the swingarm. Ive seen people remove the lower engine mount and swingarm assembled still. Thats with the back wheel included, should speed things up slightly....
