Ok I've got starting issues. Haven't ridden the bike in over to 2 years but it was garage kept and battery was stored in the house so never froze, I also started it a couple time last summer but not this one so it hasn't ran in over a year. Now after new upper fairing install and putting the charged battery in I get nothing, she won't turn over. When I hit the starter I just get nothing, and most of the time there's a constant clicking sound when the ignition is on. Heard the fuel pump, it sounded weak though, but still get no crank.
Another thing I noticed is if I switch the high beams on I get a crackling sound from under the tail. Is there a relay under there? Just to make sure I got 'em right can anyone snap a pic of the headlight connectors to make sure I plugged them in correctly? Seems a hard thing to mess up but might as well make sure.
I tried with a battery from another bike and got the same results. Thoughts?

Time for a NEW battery. What does the voltage across the battery do when you hit the start button? I suspect it's dropping really low.

 

I would be checking main connections for corrosion/bad contact. The grounding block behind the right side fairing. Reset connections at the ignition relay. No start after front fairing replacement usually involves the bank angle sensor, but that doesn't sound like your problem.
