I paid 4400 for mine. Stock as it can get. It was owned by a guy in his 45-50s who put 12k miles on it. I was comfortable buying for that price. He showed me all maintenance records and following what conrice told me to look for, I could tell the bike was babied. I'm excited for my new forever bike. But its the same around here. Not many 954's but all the ones that are around are asking 5.5k+ They practically tell the world that they dogged the bike in their ads too. Patience is key. I looked for 5 months and found the perfect one.

I second that. It took me about a year of searching before I bought mine. 02 11,400 mostly stock for 4k. Best purchase I've ever made.

Now if these 40mph winds would quit I could really do some riding. Lol

I don't think you will see anything in the performance stakes given you will be using it on the road, the real difference i find is the physical size, the 954 is more like a 600, whereas the RR6/7 feels bigger.

I bought mine that had 20k miles on it about 8 months ago and now has 27k miles lol i havent gotten off it since i bought it. I bought mine for $1k because it was missing the slip on, gage didnt work only because it was missing the fuse and FPR was bad i replaced those and got the two brothers carbon fiber, sargeant seats, sprayed it and the bike has been awesome. i practically stole it from the lady. i owned the 929 before and the difference between the 954 torque wise is retarded.
I beat R1 and ZX10 on the street depending on the year. The 954 is no joke i would recommend it to anybody who is comfrtoable on a liter bike!
