Default 03 Honda 954RR Help!!

I suppose I should introduce myself first.

I live in upstate NY and just picked up this beautiful '03 954.....
This is not my first bike. I got it for what seems to be a fairly good price, but am wondering what my best option is to make my money back plus some. I.e. do I fix it and sell it? Or just part it out?

Clean title
13K miles
frame is straight
ran until it was wrecked
front wheel and rotors appear straight
not sure on the forks yet
pipes are still good (aside from the can)

if you don't see it in the picture it's been smashed

Again I'm trying to get an idea of what to do with it.
Thanks for any help!

How much Time do you want to spend on it? Is there anything wrong with the Internals? (ie Motor) 954 Parts are getting harder and harder to come by now-a-days. Parting her out may be an option. My choice would be to get a buttload of beer and take my time rebuilding it! The 954 is a one of a kind to me. Well worth a restoration project. Take a look at Conrice's Repsol he basically built from the ground up. Looks better than almost all (RSV4 is an exception) liter bikes. Parting it out will take some time. A piece here and there just isnt worth my time and effort.

I really wouldn't be opposed to rebuilding it, but I already have 2 bikes.
'06 R6 that I race
'07 ZX-10R that I barely ride.

Plus as I started to rip into this today I discovered that the forks are bent. (Kind of figured this, was just hoping for the best)

Where's the rest of it? Did you get the airbox, gas tank? It not running after a crash could be simple or it could be a huge paper weight.

I personally would not buy a bike with the intention of parting it out. It's just not worth the time it takes. Maybe if someone gave it to me.

Depending on how much you paid for it. If you paid less than 2k for it, part it out; you should make at least 3k if you know what your doing. If you are going to fix it, you will never sell it for more than youve put into it, assuming you didnt get it for $100. Keep it and Love it; if your not very savvy, you will definetly spend more in time and money to fix it, and try to make a buck. Ive bought dozens of vehicles from auctions, and 1/4 of the time I break even, even though there is nothing really wrong with the vehicle.

Not really sure why I'm not being allowed to reply to these posts?

Anyway I paid $600 for it and just discovered that the forks are bent.
I have the gas tank but its smashed.
Airbox if there.

And as I tried to say in the last post, I already have 2 bikes so I'm not looking to fix this to ride it.

Factory Tank alone will be more than what you paid for the bike. Toss in the forks and its game over. Break out the socket set and get that Ebay account up and running..........The 954 just keeps on getting more and more scarce.
