so not to long ago i was reading the specs on the 929 and it said the estemiated top speed was 172 and the only thing performance wise on my bike is a d&d and is just a slip on so im not sure how much difference that would make but my top speed was 175 it was aslo cold so that might of made a difference too but whats your top speed ??

 

Ive seen 178 on the speedo, But the speedo is not 100% accurate, Im sure someone will jump in with the correct percentage but i think its about 5% off

 

I can only recall about 172, but I think she had some more. I run outta road around here.....lol
My speedo is about 6% off on GPS.

168 when i looked down and let off. I cant find a straight enough road to pin it open where i live, with no traffic.

 

regs 180, had it to 160+, prolly was more like 150. And it wiil go down when I install the -1/+2 spockets as I/we have no biz running such speeds on public roads lol

 

171 most ive done on I485 outer loop of charlotte.passed a cop sitting in the median under an off ramp ,,,guess he figured he didnt have a chance he never moved (probably asleep)needless to say i coulda turned coalinto diamonds if ya know what i mean.dont plan on seeing those speeds again(at least not for a little while)

172 but who knows what it really was. when you are going that fast i don't think it matters if your speedometer is off.

 

my bike went to 150 real fastand then started taking its time up to 160 (felt like 10 seconds but was probably closer to 3) then i had to let up at 161 'cause i needed time to stop before i came to the end of the road...that was before i noticed tire pressure low and before i got my PCIIIUSB and swapped out dirty air cleaner and spark plugs. so maybe it'll go a little faster now that i've had a tune-up...probably not

 

When I was geared -1 / +4 (and running a speedo healer) I got a dead-to-nuts 150 at the limiter in 6th. Just screamed to about 140... then creeped to 150.

Now I'm -1 +5, but haven't bothered pinning it again. I assume now my top is somewhere between 140-145. Pleanty to still ride on the highway not too high reved.

But good god, the torque is UNREAL.
