What is the main difference between 49state cbr 929's and european cbr 929's?
i ask this because i have a 49 state cbr 929ER and i want to try and run a euro map for the cbr 929
and the map that i want to run is the only one one the powercommander web site that is done with the short velocity stacks
these are the values in my current map

does any one know if this will or may cause damage to my motor?
the top map is for a stock filter and a two-bros slip-on
and the bottom is for an aftermarket filter full arrow exhaust and short stacks.
i have a BMC filter, custom ram-air set-up, short stacks and a two-bros slip-on that i am planning on locking to the open position like in a full exhaust.

Looking at the maps can show you what the differences are.
You read your throttle positions across the top in terms of %-open (0% 2% 5% 10% 20% ...) and you read down the RPM in 500 RPM increments. The number indicates the delta from the stock fueling (+ = more fuel; - = less fuel).
So, the Euro maps are basically pouring more fuel in at >5500rpm, particularly at small throttle openings.
So, bottom line: More fuel won't cause damage, may increase your pickup, will use more fuel.
Not being a rep of PC this is all conjecture ;-)

i get that but i was wondering why all the euro maps add way more fuel than the 49 state legal maps?
the motors are the same unless the euro ecu's have are de-tuned for some reason from the factory and if this is the case then adding all the extra fuel to a non-restricted motor would be of no help.

In most cases the bikes are exactly the same. They will normally have different ECU modules which may or may not have a different fuel curve. The reason we have different maps is due to the variances in the fuels. Normally a Euro map will make a bike in the US run too lean so we do not recommend using a map that does not correlate to the region in which you ride.
If you have any other questions please let us know. Thanks.
