What exactly is the difference between the Erion Racing Edition and the regular 929rr?
 

I recently traded my Trans Am for a 2001 CBR929RR Erion Racing edition. My first bike was an EX500 and then I sold that to buy a 2003 GSXR600 which was wrecked. I fixed that bike up and repainted it. I hadn't had a bike for a little over a year when the opportunity to get this bike came along. I must say that the jump from the 600 to the 929 was quite noticable, but quite awesome i would have to say.
I am just trying to figure out exactly how rare the erion racing edition bikes are compared to the regular 929rr's and exactly what the difference is between the erion and the normal 929.
i really love the fact that the 929's were only made for 2 years because it makes them a little harder to come across. i see r1's and gsxr1000's on almost every corner but rarely do i see a 929, and hardly ever the erion edition. it feels nice going to bike night and being the only one there with this specific bike as opposed to craploads of gsxr's and such.

I'm starting to wonder the same thing , again! because it seem every time I check a post, I see a new member with a ERION edition. I'm wondering if old members are selling their bike and these guys are buying them and it just seems like there more than what is really out there.

however, some have claimed to have a Erion and have just had erion plastics or was just confused!!



so what mods has your new toy got?

sorry if this topic has been covered before but i am a new member and didn't see any posts about it. now that i search i see what you mean.

i want to put a few minor modifications on it but i'm not exactly sure what i should do on a limited budget. any suggestions? it does have a full two brothers carbon fiber exhaust system on it that sounds pretty sweet.

stearing stabilizer
bmc filter
powercommander

on the 929 and 954's a steering damper is a must. Also steel braided brakes lines make a world of difference in your stopping power. I don't believe to much in the "go fast" goodies but many people do. It you want it to handle well do the damper, brake lines, and race tek the suspension or atleast have the stock suspension set to your rider weight.

I think they are prety rare even though the dont seem like it on this site [8D] I had NEVER seen one in my town EVER. I have to be truthful..i didnt even want a HONDA i wanted GIXXER 1000. The Erion popped up on craigslist in my town and i thought about it and went right over to the guys house and bought it. I dont regret it at all eventhough i was a suzuki guy before. I love this bike and i still havent seen one around here but mine. It gets A LOT of looks thats for sure. The guy i bought if from just bought it from DFW a couple months before.

that bike was definately stunted and the lower plastics are taken off. why else would someone in their right mind sell a 2001 erion edition for 2000 bucks???
