suspension settings
I know I read on here what the factory suspension settings are for a 929 but I cant find the post again. I was curious if anybody knows what they are. Or if anybody has any suggested settings. I am about 140 lbs. I street ride, twisties when possible but also do alot of commuting. I just dont have much experience on suspension tuning, I've played with it alittle but am open to suggestions.
Thanks |
Check around to see if any local bike shops tune your suspension for a good price. It's the best $25 I've spent towards my bike.
I do believe that a magazine (Sport Rider or something) has a list of bikes with the factory settings, and I think ours might be one of them. |
Here's the link.

I'd be willing to bet the factory settings are what you don't want. If you ever get close to Kansas City...my buddy tunes in less than 2 minutes to your weight, and riding style. Personally, I would find a bike mechanic that rides track too...or find a track rider that works on his bike. You'll be amazed at what they can do for you.

I know Im not going to want it set at stock settings. I was just going to get it back there as a starting point cause I dont know how much its been messed with prior to me. If anybody has any killer setups for a person my size and are willing to share it would be greatly appreciated.

The link to sportrider is the way they set the bike up when they tested it.Those are not the factory settings. The owners manual will give you the factory settings.

I didn't set up my own suspension, so I don't know what all of the setting are. If I did, I'd be down to help you out. I'm a little heavier than most too. If you have it tuned by a shop/track, then they'll tune it to your positioning too. Say if you put more weight or the front or back.
