speedo is off I think
My 929 came with a crazy 50 teeth rear sprocket, so I put a 43 teeth sprocket ( I was told that's what came stock) and the front is 15 teeth ( waiting on my 16 teeth that I ordered), but for some reason my speedo is way off still. I just don't think it's going to read right even with a 16/43, what's the deal?? On another note, the bike is still crazy in first 2 gears, anything over 6k and the front wheel goes up in the air. I am kind of thinking about getting a bigger front sprocket something like 18 teeth, or get a 40 for the rear or maybe both. I am happy with the way the bike runs, it's got ton of bottom end, and I haven't had a chance to see how it is on the very top ( freaking front wheel won't stick to the ground), I just can't see how people put -1/+2 on these bikes, that's just crazy.
I think that's it.
I think that's it.

trust me either leave it stock or -1/+2. you dont want to start getting really crazy with changing the gears because then you change how the 929 feels and common who would want to do that lol if you really want to fix your speedo problem just buy a speedo healer or dont worry about it and just watch your speeding

im just at a loss for words that you would really want to go +2/-3. you end up changing the entire dynamics of the bike. not only top gear but you will change engine braking, how it accels out of corners , even going -1 in the rear on my old f3 i could feel a serious lack of power. i dont want to sound rude but are you scared of the torque the 929 has ? is that why you want to water it down? and how often are you really going to be able to use full top gears ?

RE: speedo is off I think
Finally put stock gears in there, I love it, now I can actually use most of the gears instead of just first and last, but I did run into one problem, my new 520 chain came with a master link that you have to rivet/press together, and I really wanted to get a master link with a clip, so I went to the local shop to try and order the link and they told me that 520 rk chain is only good for bikes up to 750cc, WTF??
