?'s for t those with full exhaust systems!

i have a few questions for those of you that have "installed" afull exhaust systems on your bikes.

are header gaskets a must?
is there anything i could use as a replacement for the header gaskets?
im thinking silicon gasket maker, but will that with stand the heat?

If you're looking to reuse your gaskets, and they are just one of the common copper rings, you can flip them over and most of the time it seals. Otherwise go to an auto parts store and get a ceramic based exhaust assembly paste. It's intended for car systems that are slip fit to fill in any gaps and seal it. Use a small amount on the old copper rings, like you would with gasket compound, and it will seal it. Really though you can get those gaskets for $4/ea on bikebandit.com

its not that i wouldnt be willing to purchase them or dont want to, i just wanted to know what my options were or if they even could be reused.

the exhaust is supose to arrive tomorrow 11-17-08 so it will be going on 11-18-08 if i dont have to order the gaskets because i dont think it comes with any.

I know its not the same, but i removed my header and reinstalled using the same gaskets with no problems/leaks.

if i were you i would reuse the old ones, then IF it leaks replace them later by ordering new from Honda..
but either way i would NOT use any type of silicone type gasket sealer

did you ever get your exhaust on? Did you re-use your gaskets? I just pulled my stock one off and installed a micron kit, yet didn't see any gaskets... what did they look like?

yeah same situation with mine, i saw no gaskets so i just bolted it back up and there wasnt any leaks so i figured it was good or the stock ones stayed in place when i removed the stock pipes
