Default Rear stand question

I know the swingarm isn't symmetrical on the 929 and I know the bike doesn't exactly sit well on my Handy stands and I heard that they make one just for the 929. Would I be able to duct tape a metal plate or something to the right side to make it stand straight up on the stand?

Handystands makes an offset stand for the 929.

I don't want to buy a new set of stands for the bike. I was just curious if there is any way to make the one I have work.

i had the same problem, i did this cheap fix:
placed a block of wood on the offset side of the stand.
i drilled and placed bolts on the block of wood (and stand) so as to prevent the wood [and bike] from slipping
just make sure the side wall (of the modified side) reaches the swing arm--to prevent lateral slip

hope my explanation makes some sense

ive heard of guys drilling into there swingarm to add spools, but i dont think thats a good idea. 954 swingarm conversion is the way to go.
