i ran out of gas for the first time... i think i'm the only one to ever run out of gas on a bike.. lucky i was going downhill when it happend and i was able to coast into a little shopping area. then my girl who was on the bike was asking me why i stoped and then i really looked dumb.. but we ended up eating at a nice little bakery that had low sugar pastries and i got 3 free gallons from AAA.. i just cant believe i ran out of gas on a bike...[&o]

 

didn't the reserve light come on, i have ran out but the reserve kicked in

 

Haha i had the same thing happen to me the other day.. man it was pouring down rain .. reserve came on being stubborn i told myself "Ah i can get to the gas station up the street its 15 cents cheaper".. Yep.. ended up on the opposite side of the hill from the gas station.. had to call a buddy to bring a gas can yep.. definatly late for work that day.. but now i fill up pretty much any time i notice it's running low.. not an efficent way of recording mileage.. but it helps to prevent another situation like that ..

 

there is a reserve on the 929? i usaly set the odo right after i fill up and i know i can go at least 180 miles without having to fill up again.. i guess i set it late this time cuz i ran out at 145 miles..
