Alright guys 1st of all I want to introduce my self, Im Nathan, 22 and just made the upgrade from a 1992 Yam FZR 600 to a 01 CBR929RR today...

I got the bike for 4,000 and it has around 11,000 miles on it.

It has a couple issues that i need some advice on:

1: The speedo does not work. I have ran all of the tests and it seems like the sensor is just faulty. Where do you gues reccommend i look to but this?? Bike Bandit had it for like 80 on their site. Seems like it should be a little cheaper. Do these go out often???

2: The owner did a hack job on the tail to get rid of the turn signals.. and did a intigrater tail light (done bad) I want to get the intigrater working correctly. Do yall reccomend the 20 dollar autozone universal wire kits for trailer wireing... seems like it should work.

There is more but this will have to do for now.

I also added some pics... let me know what yall think

Took care of the tail light issues last night. Took out the clear tail light and pulled it apart.. and cutom made a divider in the lense to make the left and roght turn signals more distinct. Looks pretty nice. I still think i will be adding turnsignals to the passenger pegs soon.

oh and if you ever take your rear lense apart and you want to clean the insides... dont use greesed lighting... it removed all of the reflective coating off the lense almost instantly. (fixed it with some chrome paint from AZ) looks better now anyways.

I will put up pics tonight... also i ordered the speed sensor that i needed it ws 94.70 at the local honda dealer.

If your speedometer wasn't working you can't be sure that the mileage on the bike is correct. If your bike always reads zero mph the odo won't track any miles hopefully it hasn't been broke for too long.

champ24,
It was made well aware that this was broken when i 1st went to look at it.... the guy was very trustworthy and he let me know that is is at most 1000 mile off. It had stopped working 3 months ago. The milage on the title lined pretty good. With how sound the bike is i do not doubt the milage a bit... just hope the sensor comes in tomorrow. Its very simple to replace... but 100 bucks... Thanks for the insight... but i was well aware.
