hi I’m new to the forum...just picked up a 2001 cbr 929 with 17,500 miles for $1,000! But it runs like ****....no power under load...feels like I’m riding a xr80 or something...no power at all...just straight Boggs and runs like ****...upon removal of airbox I see the air filter is junk, plugs are not the recommended plug for the bike they are for a blackbird....and I believe the coil packs weren’t even clicked onto the spark plugs completely...more info in about a week when my plugs and filter come...whoever had this bike was absolutely retarded...also oil everywhere all over the front of motor I believe to be coming from the oil cooler or filter...also previous owner did not tighten down oil filter...
