My new 929rr, few questions

In addition to my 929, I ride a Harley V-rod which has a notoriously bad gas gauge/indicator. I learned years ago to reset my trip-ometer to 0.0 at every fill-up and fill-up again at 100 miles. Works great on the 929. My light does come on at about 110 miles, but I still don't trust it....Tom

does the light come on when you turn on the key? the sensor is in the tank, on the fuel pump module. if the light comes on, the sensor is bad. if not, jump the brown/black with the green on the harness connector to make the light come on. if it still doesnt light, trace to wiring to the cluster. if it lights up, the sensor is bad.
80 miles to a tank morpheus? something is not right there. i fill up 3.8 to 4.4 gal, at 160mi. depending on how hard i run. you should be getting close to that, even on a hard run.
love both your bikes... morpheus' colors would go over big out here in L.A. folks love those lakers.

thanks for the help... no light doesnt turn on when key is on... do i have to remove fairings for this wire or is it tucked somewhere easy to work with?
and Morpheus said he fills up around 110miles i was the one that said i get around 80 miles to the tank... my bike is fully modded for the track and have it dyno tuned to run rich so i use more fuel than really necessary... and then again i ride hard all the time... I try to cruise but when i look down im going 95mph on a 40mph road...

loosen the tank and lift it a bit. its it the 3 prong connector for the fuel pump, green i think.

ok cool thanks... and yea thats me trying to go slow and obey the law... 2 days ago i went 170+ and as soon as i slowed down to turn i ran out of gas...

bumblebee you had your 929 up to 170? how does the bike handle? at that speed the most iv been up to was 140 in 4th gear racing a 01 r1 does you bike feel like it can go 180? or is 170 really pushing it
