Default MPG??

Hey.. I'm just curious how many miles per gallon are people getting w/ their 929's? I was amazed to find out that after 4 trips of approx. 35-40 per trip my gas light came on halfway into the 4th trip and I had a full tank to begin with. About how many miles can you go after the gas light comes on for the first time? I know we don't buy 929's for the sole purpose of saving gas, but at $4 a gallon gas prices and $16 to fill a bike nowadays I'm starting to look at MPG..lol Thanks....

I get roughly 130 miles to a tank (never really checked it though) , but it all depends on how hard you ride.. They say you get around 30 miles or so from when the light comes on ( i made it 34 miles once from the time my light came on till i finally found a gas station..

I typically get 35 mpg if I ride it spirited but smooth. I can get up to 40 mpg if I baby it.

I seem to remem 127 or so last time I checked. I also read one time 26 give or take after the fuel light so my guess is it comes on with a gallon left. ??? Can't say I tested this. If you got 140-160 out of a tank, be happy.

I get around 120ish per fill up depending on how I ride. Seems like a good baseline. Going hard in the canyons, I usually get just a bit over 100, but that's becauseI'm hauling in either 2nd or 3rd gear. I've read that you can go about 20-30 miles when the light come on. I've never pushed it that far though...

i usually never wait for the light to come on and fill up at 120 miles. i checked mpg on the last 2 tanks that i burned through. 1 was 36mpg, that was mostly spirited highway commuting to work. The other was 29 mpg and that was from a night out with the boys.

MPG really depends on how you're riding, what mods you've done, how old the motor is, and the air cleaner.

I got 121 miles from a tank and that was it! Fuel warning light never came on until I was pushin her home lol. Was only a mile or so, but at midnight it really sucks!

I do have a full Erion exhaust and a perfectly mapped Power Commander so it's safe to say I'm using more fuel than a stock 929er. She runs and sounds soooo good tho!
