Default lowering

so im kinda short and wanted my bike lowered so this guy i know has a cbr 600 that is slammed to the ground so i asked him how he did it so he made the bar that off the back of the engine a little longer. well mine comes off the back of the engine his sits upright i think so his set up is a little different than mine but kinda the same concept well when we were looking at mine there is a triangle shaped bracket that connects to the bar that comes off the back of the motor the shock and the swingarm. so when i was looking for some upgrades on ebay i came across those brackets and it said it would lower it 2 to 4 inches so i told him the only thing different was an extra set of holes from those to the stock ones so we decided to drill holes in mine and they would be the same thing but the new holes would lower it slightly so now that i got them on the shock rests right on the bar that comes out from the engine...is this gonna be a problem or might it be alright???

any info would be appreciated!!!

I can't answer your question, but I have seen the trangles before on e-bay but I went with PPG lower link aka dogbone and it was like 80 bucks and I think I have seen them on the BAY for 50 or so, worked great for me!

i have the triangle lowering links that lower it 2 and 4 it is a complete diff size triangle so i dont think drilling holes would work, i would suggest going with the dog bone the triangle are a pain in the a** to instale cause off the size diff the holes just dont line up like they should im gonna take them off mine and get the dogbone

I myself am rather short but I didn't and won't lower mine. You loose to much of the overal handling of the bike especially if you love the twisties but thats just my personal opinion. But I agree as stated above get a dog bone lowering link. They aren't that expensive.

Why would you have your boys on one of these machines not safe to be riding 2 kids at the same time. And you say you cant touch flat footed try a pocket rocket might be more your size.

I know its your first post but by his boys he ment his *****, and I don't think any rashional person would try to ride a motorcycle with 2 kids at once, I only take my daughters and my sons around the parking lot only (one at a timeL because lets be honest, the world doesn't care for us two wheel lovers.
