Default Loud exhaust

Found this on another site. Thought it was a good find.

"One of the Brit rags, Superbike or what have you, did a comparo a few years ago, some time in the winter of '98-'99 IIRC. The D&D was the loudest of the bunch, and they tested about 15 pipes. I saved it, I'll look around for it when I get back tonight."

"Wow - when I'm wrong, I'm wrong. It was in the spring, not the winter, and it was 2001, not 98-99. May 01 edition of PB if you're playing along at home. Anyway, they tested/reported on what looks like 29 of the dozens cans supplied by the 40 manufacturers.

Some stats of some of the cans you can actually buy here in the US (all weights in grams, all dB measured according to 2001 ACU rules (whatever the hell that is):

Standard 2001 CBR929RR: 3000g 96dB
Akrapovic Ti: 1995g 99dB
Devil carbon: 2448g 101dB
Jardine Ti: 2321g 101dB
Micron alloy: 2975g 103dB
Remus Ti: 2505g 98dB
Scorpion steel: 2735g 98dB
Scorpion Ti: 2124g 98dB
Arrow Ti: 2638g 102dB
Micron Ti: 2415g 100dB
Yoshimura alloy: 2750g 101dB
Yoshimura Ti: 2540g 99dB
Moriwaki 'Zero' Ti: 2090g 101dB

They didn't test my custom D&D it's 7.5 inches long and the inners are welded straight through so it's pretty much a straight pipe with an outter D&D can+cap for looks.
