Default i got a few Questions about this helmet!!!

I got this a a gift from a co-worker who has had it for awhile and said he never used it and if i like it i could have it.

Well i liked it because i have never seen anything like it.
It is made by a company called GPA and they are located in in france, the serial number is 0000661, it was made in 03/99 and it is sweet.

But i would like to know if its a good helmet and how much one of these would cost me if i could find some one that carries them?

and the visor slides up into the shell of the helmet.

im thinking this thing is expensive but i may be wrong, can anyone help me out with the value of this lid?

I would not wear that helmet. If that many people say they have never heard of it,sketchy man I have heard in my helmet research that there are a lot of fly by night companys that pop up an make cheap *** helmets. And if you or someone else has googled it and got nothing big red flag.I would think that would mean no ones ever tested one?Not worth finding out the hard way.Plus it spliting in the middle like that makes no sense. If it meets in the middle it does it latch in the middle as well?Thats like the last place I would want road rash. And it does look silly like more of a snow mobile helmet.

I was thinking Star Wars when I saw it???

I think those thing fly open when you let off the gas and slow you down...

I don't think I could trust that design.

Default no!!!!

no it wont come open on its own, it has a metal hook and lock device on each side of the chin.

i know this isnt some cheap off brand helmet, anything with a serial number has it for a reason.
