I wouldn't recommend pulling the valve out, Instead of being a smooth transition through the valve you will have alot of turbulance, which is not a good thing for making hp. so get her weilded and put the cover back on so no leaks. btw do you like the change?

i do like the change. i lost a little gas mileage, but had that already happen anyway when I started always staying in lower gears to keep the stator charging the battery.

just like hung88, Mine is throwing a code 34, which is very similar to the code 35. And supposidly my servo is bad. the bike shop is telling me to purchase a new servo which they say is expensive, or replace the entire exhaust system, which will bypass the issue. And im curious if i can just tell them to kiss my ass, and do like ive read on here and bypass it all together???

ebay, and google it. Whatever you do even if you have to go to honda dont let the bike shop get you the part, they gonna take stealership prices and add to it.

Issues with my Fi light staying on!
Where exactly is the ECM and ECU and the Servo Motor located? I haven't pulled the tank off so wondering is it their but my light came on when I gunned it one day and stays on after I start it up and roll about a half of mile. Oh yea and what does ECU and ECM and HTEV mean?

Which way is fully open? Clockwise or counter clockwise. My servo is stripped an the htev is gummed up enough for me to leave it in a position. Thinking of eventualy buying a used servo an cables to put it back to stock.

Just a thought, for those of you geting codes and ending up thinking the servo is bad. Try cleaning the shaft of the servo with WD40 or somthing like it. Several years ago I got the blinking red light code (34 or 35, cant remember witch) I talked to a friend that ran the local dealers parts and service. He deciphered the code for me, I remember that it was the servo not in proper position. I oiled it and turned it gently with plyer and repeated till it moved smoothly. started the bike and the code cleared by its self.
When it had happened, the road I lived on had just been tarred and chiped (realy cheap paving method) It was realy dusty for a couple weeks after. I figured it was all the dust. The servo top is easy to reach with a spraycan with the little straw attached, I gie it a little shot once in a while and it hasnt happened since. bottom line, a faulty servo could be a stuck servo. Try a shot of spray oil....... |
