I got a set of aluminum grips for my 929 and can't seem to swap the throttle side out.

These grips replace the plastic piece which holds the throttle/return cables.
I know i have to open the starter switch assy but then I can't seem to get the cables out so I can swap my grip piece in.

I'm having trouble locating any help in the service manual, so any assistance would be awesome.
