Glad to be here!
Last weekend I got a great deal on a erion 929. Its totally stock except for a clear double bubble and corbin seat. Im still trying to get used to the power and weight. I was on a 97 VFR, (first street bike) Loved it but found myself doing more sport riding then touring.
Had a couple questions; gas in seattle is above average $$ any problems running 89 octane? What is this flapper valve ive read about in the air box that everyone takes off? Its also has all the california emissions sh*t on it, anyone know how to get rid of it?
Eventually i plan on a exhaust system (staintune hopefully) and PC III, steering stabilizer, rear fender eliminator, SS brake lines, Pazzo levers, race tech suspension.
Im glad to be part of the 929 brotherhood, thanks for any tips and options you guys have to share.

hi ..
good call on the bike! the erion's are nice (me have one too).
fuel: go the best you can afford. 94 is better than 91. they thrive on octane and you won't find it too happy below 91.
cali emissions: have a look at the shop manual (available through this forum, someone posted a link recently). by the looks of it, the cali bikes have a different ECU and wiring so, my guess, is that you are stuck with it. not that it makes too much diff, really. i imagine that you could do the change and it would cost you a lot of bucks for not too much reward. though someone who is more familiar with them may have a different take on it.
all the rest of the gear you have planned is good stuff. enjoy!

triax... forget erions we should start a new group of yellow on black / black on yellow riders. A yellow jacket brotherhood id you will.
Anyways H65mech would you mind sharing what you paid for your 929. I bought mine saturday and got it for 4000 seems like my price was pretty hard to beat. The guys pregnant wife was pissed when she found out about it and so he tried to raise the price on me.

Erion's are rare because people keep recking them from stunting! lol plus i did see one in the opening seen of "BIKER BOYZ" not that that matters.
it does seem like there are a lot of them on this forum but thats because we come from all over thestates and globe and meet here.
