so i seem to have lost my gas tank key, and now i cant put gas in the bike.. any ideas on how to get the tank cap off? i undid all the screws but i stil need the key to disengage the lock. ideas?

 

its not the same key you use to start the bike?

 

its a stunt bike, the key i used was bent just right to fit in the hole. so no its not the same key, i actually got 2 copies of my ignition key made and they wouldnt work..

you could always break the lock and use a screw driver. and since its a stunt bike maybe you should get a vortex screw on gas cap.

 

but it in a truck and take it to a lock smith and have him make a new key

 

or just take the tank off and take that to the lock smith or call one to come to your house

 

i just broke the lock with a screw driver, then took out the actual locking mechanism. so now it still works but to lock it and unlock it i have to use a screw driver. oh well its a temporary fix. plus the locksmith wanted 150 dollars to make a key for it.. even tho they made me 2 ignition keys for 5 dollars... ********

 

that will solve your problem .. but remembe rthe lid and the base are sold seperately .. so for about 100$ you never have to worry about a key again
