yeah dude it is a rush...get white knuckles ridin/drivin keepin eyes peeled for the nearest gas station...done it on my 954...about 25miles past light on...and in my bmw past the miles 'til empty counter...its a great time HA HA HA...some advice to others that get stuck in the situation with bikes...if your riding with another biker and he/she runs out of gas just ride along side of them and put ur foot on the back of their foot peg...works well if u have one rider on either side...have done that with family members before

my fuel pump SEMI- malfunctioned today causing it to quit working when warm/hot

I ran out of gas 3 time to get home

I actually had plenty of gas, it finally quit working all together and I had to push about a 1/2 mile

900rr

I bypassed the pump and let gravity feed and shes runnin again!!!!

i dont like to chance it when the light comes on even though i could go couple miles, because i ran out of gas twice one i was lucky and right next to a gas station and the second time i was on the freeway in the fastlane when it turn off on me i was like wtf. i merge over to get to the side of the shoulder and was trying to figure out what was going on, then after starting it up again i took off and forgot to check and see how gas i had left so now it just came to a dead stop.

it suck to i had to push it off the off ramp then push it across the crosswalk and people looking at me like wtf up with, then finally i found a gas station and filled her up. to me even though you could get close to 30 miles when the light turn on i wouldnt chance it but then again that just me

They actually put that light there for a reason¿? I thought it was a reminder that my bike ran of that expensive stuff from the middle east, the light would come on and it was like saddam laughing at me.

Iv'e never gone past 10-15. With electric fuel pumps when the run out of fuel they get hot and will eventually lead to the fuel pump crapping out (to put it nicely) They will get hot and begine to short til they dont work any more. so running out to find out is not a good Idea. I've had to push my ninja I had off the highway up a steep, long off ramp while carrying a backpack, then up anothe hill accross a bridge to the nearest gas station. Best Idea when the light comes on stop at the next station and fill up. just my two cents
