fuel line kink

I jus noticed that th fuel line that runs from th pump to th fuel rail kinks when ever I set th tank down. I was thinking of placing an in-line fuel filter to keep it from kinking an to have that added protection of th fuel filter. Has anyone done this?

are you talking about the return line or pressure line? the pressure line, the one with the banjo fittings, doesn't usually kink. do not cut into this hose. the return line kinks a bit. i replaced mine with a little longer hose to help with the kink and it sure makes it easier to disconnect and lift the tank. its just regular fuel hose that is available at any auto supply. there is no need for a filter in the return line. your bike has a fuel filter inside the tank mounted with the fuel pump.

Yes th pressure line is th one kinking. I was thinking of using a fuel filter that's rated at over 50psi. It kinks right where it connects to th banjo.

could you have it on upside down? if i remember correctly, the banjo at the fuel rail side has a slight bend to it.

...i just looked. both side have a bend to them. try routing it a little differently.

Mine doesn't have any bends. Th previous owner must have installed another line for some reason

give them a little bend then... that may help. otherwise get a new line or have one made thats longer. there are places that will put new hose on your banjos. i know a few places in socal, but that probably wont help you.

Well I'm gonna give th filter a shot. I'll post my results. Thanx 74demon.

929 fuel pressure is supposed to be 50psi at idle. make sure it can take the pressure and that you have good seals...

Gotcha thanx bud.

Turns out th line was upside down at th pump. Turned it around an no more kink. Glad I didn't have to cut into th line.
