A few 929 questions

So I have recently bought a 2001 929 with 3500 miles on it, And was just wondering is it normal for this bike to tick a bit? Its not super loud or anything, its pretty constant as far as I can tell. Is this normal? question 2 When I change gears it seems kinda hard versus my last bike. Its not horrible it just give a bit of a kick and I was just curious if this is also normal. If not what could it be?

929's are noisy ! The hard shift you get used to, for a while i was having problems with going from 1st to 2nd and slipping back into nuetral. Learning to shift it proper fixed it.:)

Congrats on getting a 929. The bike is great. Back to your answers though. First, it could be just normal noise. At low or idle rpms, I hear an ever so slight sound for just a split second but leave it to my imagining things. Second. Honda had a recall on the clutch basket. On the cradle of the suspension just above the right foot peg, there should be two dots. The dot on the right indicates that the recall has been done. I can't remember if it was directly related to the shifting.

I have found that golden spectro synthetic oil helps alot with the clunkiness of the tranny. I've tried 4 or 5 different kinds before I ended up with golden spectro.

I heard about the whole recall thing. So I called three diffrent dealers they all ran my vin number and said no recall was in affect for my bike. I also from time to time find myself going from 1st to neutral, I am working on that though. On the price thing I think I got a pretty good deal I paid $4600.
