Default fan on all the time

I bought an 01 929 rr and noticed that before the engine even starting the fun is running as well as after i start it in the morning. I am located on the island of antigua so I was thinking that the sensor for the radiator to kick on failed and someone rigged it to stay on all the time because of the heat. The problem with this is the drain on the battery many times in the morning it doesn't have enough juice to start and i have to push start it. Should the battery have enough juice to support the fan running all the time and I just need to get a new battery or is their a way to bring it back to kicking on at 223? Any help would be greatly appreciated

I would cut the power wire for the fan and run it through a toggle swith so you can control when the fan comes on.

I agree with "Nixcbr" run a switch of some kind. stock the fan should come on about 218.

Well, that's one way to do it or you can actually fix the problem with the sensor so that it will turn on and off automatically like it is supposed to do.

As long as the engine is running the charging system should support the fan even at idle. But I agree with dean7698 - fix the problem ( likely the sensor ) and be done with it.

i put it on a switch and its better but it still won't crank sometimes i think my battery is just weak my friend has a battery for a cbr 900rr the only differences i found were the height being 4.2 instead 3.7 and the amp hours being 9 instead of 8 has anyone had any success because my seat is modified and i don't think the height should be a problem my seat is high enuff but are the connectors the same? Thanx again
